unless the back wheel locked up when it died then I doubt it seized.when you had the plug out and turned it over did it smell of fuel? the excess heat may have killed the plug, sometimes they look fine out of the bike but break down under load.i would check basics like cleaning the earth leads and fit a new plug and air filter before opening the engine.maybe check the flywheel is tourqued up and the timing marks are lined up correctly.

I don't have a lot of engine spares but you're welcome to anything else that may help Spud.

Like others have said spud compression test first , if it has no compression cam cover off check cam is opening the valves , I'm not familiar with the dr350 but the cam drive sprocket could be spinning on the cam shaft , or chain Broken , good luck. Bob

I had this exact same symptom with my DR. The cam chain tensioner guide broke when I went over the bars kicking the rear wheel into the air. The cam chain then some how moved a tooth when loose. Only thing that ever went wrong with it in 15 years. Shame it was the last stage of the Welsh! I also put a Wiseco 380 Kit and large bore stainless header from Allen's performance, transformed it (although it was flat slide carb plastic tank Enduro model) so would highly recommend the kit and real value for money. All the best and hope you are sorted soon.

got the bike back, it spins over and when I put it in gear and pushed it up the drive there was compression, how much I'll find out tomorrow when I can get my hands on a compression tester.

Spark to the plug (thumbs)

could not smell petrol when I turned it over ?

cheers Spud ;)
