Great story, adventure and write up Spud, enjoyed reading it and looking at the photos, it brings back good memories of the two trips to Morocco. Hope to make a third one again.
Last time I towed a chap for 15km to Zagora as he ran out of fuel on the piste, then again 20km on the m/way to the port, and onto the queue for the ferry.
He managed to get his bike sorted in Algeciras Spain.
Hope you get the bike back soon and find the problem.
Will

Re: Moroc bound
things I learnt on this trip..... in no particular order....
old bike need nurturing and TLC but are surprisingly capable.
How heat effects tyres and their flexibility and how tyre pressures all tie up in all this.
How kind and generous most people are/can be including passing a bottle of water over to me as I stood on the side of the road
How the desert can and will screw you up if you let it and make no mistake it could easily end you. A good off would be very interesting to deal with.
I hate drinking water, mint tea (thumbs)
how heat will effect engines and fueling
how the desert is teaming with life and has a magnificent beauty
how a trip like this is a great lesson in life
my emotions regarding this trip are still over whelming me and I think I am on the verge of a love affair with the desert.
Moroccan dogs are interesting
dead donkey's adapt strange positions
cheers Spud

Re: Moroc bound
They got fuel off one of the guys although we were unsure of how far it was to the next fuel stop.
the scene reminded me of a scene in Lawrence Of Arabia where a guy gets shot for drinking out of a well that belong to another tribe. I am not sure how the hell they find enough food for their animals
Tough tough life :pinch:
cheers Spud
