Canvas bag is a little vanity of mine going back to my CD200-'powered' AJS from '84 (below)
You can still buy them on ebay for a few quid - often older than me.
I prefer them to tool tubes and ammo boxes.
I keep straps and chain oil + brush in there - low value/messy items.

Book they say will be out for the ATFF in August - and will be in full colour at last.

It was actually a pretty nice place (Bab Rimal) - great for groups - but I like to rough it when alone.
There's actually a good place just back down the road overlooking the oued < half the price
Will try it next time with my own groups.

Great report Chris, and will be on the list for the new book in August.
Great Hotel that in Foum Zguid, they are still after Rog for the cleaning bill for the Sh1ttty. sheets.
Fantastic photos.
Sounds like the 250 lightweight is the way to go.

Careful there good sir, you 'wet' your pants but 'whet' your appetite ...

But I suppose in Maroc it's possible to do both at the same time! (thumbs)

I agree entirely, Chris - a WR450R would press all the buttons (if they could address the cost issue!).

Found the Maxxis IT Desert great on the WRR in kenya - probably similar terrain to N Africa.

Great ride report and super photos. Keep 'em coming!
