nice ride out

Post by steve_h80 »

Had a good ride out today.
Up to Hartside, back down Weardale, over to Teesdale and home.
Plenty up at Hartside, mostly big traillies of course, but a couple of sportsbikes too.
Took a while before anyone would talk to me. Most likely cos I was on this :woohoo:

Now then Si
Last year I came up behind a Harley (complete with all the live to ride stuff) on the commute home.
He checked his mirrors, engaged born to be wild mode and took off with a manly braaap.
Game on, me in hot pursuit with a scooterish meeeeeee :-)
Top entertainment watching his fustration at been unable to loose a lickle scooter on either the straights or the twisties.

That would be part of the lifestyle HOG Harley's :) :)
To be fair to the brand , 3 years ago Stateside , I came across 2 Harley's that had higher ground clearance AND proper motors, AND these guys were seriously good riders ,I wound it on for a while then they both passed me :woohoo: , I hung with them for quite a long time ,then they pulled in and acknowledged the run (thumbs)
I was 2 up but was kinda glad to get back to tour speed as its tiring "holding the pace"
It appears there are Harley modifiers that do it for blingy cosmetic reasons ( though God knows why , roll a turd in glitter and it's still a turd  ) and there are tuning modifiers which are a whole different breed (thumbs)

It doesn't matter what you ride because it is all about the ride
