Being only 5'5" I find it easier if my girlfriend climbs on and off when the side stand is down, then she can step on the pillion peg without pulling me off balance.

Side stand down. Both feet planted. She puts left foot on peg right hand on my shoulder, stands on peg & drops on.

First ride out on der Panzer with a pillion today, Rossendale > Skipton > Grassington > Pately Bridge > Ripon > Masham > Layburn > Aysgarth > Hawes > Sedburgh > Kirby Lonsdale Settle > Barrowford back to Waterfoot.
Arms and wrist feeling it.
The GS is great 2 up when moving, but my feeble frame has a job on when we stop & she's getting on & off!

That's how we've managed for the last 8 years (thumbs)

We were out in Wales yesterday. Her on pillion with her arms out like wings and going "weeeeeeeeeeee."
Bloody disgraceful for a couple in their 60s.

Took the demo Triple Black GS1200 out at the weekend, with the wife to test the pillion provision. Was made easier for her than on my Tiger as there was no top box on the BMW.All was well until we got back on the Triumph and she clouted the box with her foot, putting me off balance. That was as close as I'd want before dropping it
