Morocco August 2016

Post by Duncan666 »

A couple of pics from my recent trip to Morocco. A trip from Marrakech out to Merzouga and then back West across the Atlas Mountains.

Great support from Loc 2 Roues in Marrakech in terms of bike hire. http://www.loc2roues.com/

The bike was a Husky 650 Terra with MT21 tyres.

It was above 40 deg/c every day and at worst 48deg/c in the area around Foum Zguid. Carrying plenty of water was an issue. Only came across a couple of wells, and these were so dry the effort in hauling up the water was counter productive.

It did mean the trails were quiet, and i think in 2 weeks I saw no more than 10 adventure bikes.

I can sort you 2014 ktm 450 exc's, cracking hotel and dune riding/teaching/guiding if you want phil. its not expensive you just need to get yourself to merzouga. flight to marrakech and a hire car between 4 people is cheap as chips. can also sort longer guided trips over a few days through the desert

It's per week Dave but it must be a group (min 4), can't do individuals. Drop me a PM if you want more info (thumbs)
