We wake up the next day and the weather isn't what we're used to, it's raining.
Our goal for the day is to ride the length of the Lofotens to Sorvagen and catch the 8:30 ferry to Bodo, where Paul has booked us a night in a Youth Hostel.
Get to the ferry in Sorvagen, only to find it doesn't run on a Friday, we decide (wrongly as it turns out) to ride halfway back up the Lofotens to Svolvaer (80 miles) to see if there's a ferry that can get us to the mainland that evening, there isn't, but there is a really swish Youth Hostel and a ferry at 8:30 the next morning to Skutvik via another island, Skrova.
Onto the ferry

Re: Norway 2016
We disembark and find our way back to the E6 as far as Fauske and then the 80 and the 17, a little detour to see another thing on our list, the Saltstraumen maelstrom.
We end up getting a hut at the side of the E6, the cheapest of the trip, just NOK 300.

I've ridden and (drag) raced on many airfields in the dim and distant past; and on this trip, up the top end of Finland (Lapland) the E75 suddenly turns into a runway, about 2 km in length and wide enough for a 747, then it just turns back into the E75..

Re: Norway 2016
So, day twelvish.
Up and at 'em bright and early. Carry on down the E6 toward Mo I Rana, turning off at Korgen onto the 86, one of the 'best biking roads' found through Paul's research, what a road and what stunning views.
Back onto the E6 and what a brilliant stretch of road it was, the weather was perfect, there was very little traffic, it was sweeping bend after sweeping bend as far as Namsskogan, where we pulled over to share our enjoyment of the road so far, have a wee and decide whether we were going to carry on the E6, or do the next 'biking road', the 773, toward Nordil, which had the bonus that if we used it, it took us all too briefly through Sweden (about a mile and half in Sweden)
We stopped in what was probably one of the best huts and campsite of the trip at Levanger, just to the north of Trondheim.
