Looks to have been a spectacular success - well done to Neil and Scooby for sorting it all and to all the lads for giving it a go (thumbs) . Would have loved to have made it (free use of someone else's bike, laughing at ya mates ....... come on, what's not to like!), but hip said otherwise.
Thanks for the report, video and photos, from us chair jockeys. Got me thinking of getting one for Germany now!!

ABC try trials weekend (thumbs)
my first crack at organising something like this, big thanks to all who attended as it was each and every one of you that contributed to its success. there is a bit of apprehension there when someone first steps onto a trials bike, nowt to do with the bike, I just didn't want any injuries, sure some of you woke this morning with bumps and bruises u never thought you had.
Great write up that scooby, thanks, also to you and kenny for supplying bikes, gear, etc.
Everyone seamed to have a great time, and gave it there all, "slow and steady wins the race" minky ,went off on me beta faster than he takes off on his ccm450. Great that vid mate, much appreciated.
After much improvement by all it had to be competition time, I was amazed how competitive it got, loads of concentration, cursing, blaming the bike(stevied) ,arguing with the observer(felco) ,it were great . Right laugh!
Bike all survived well, bust twist grip on one of mine, quick and cheap to fix, so no worries there, I was expecting
And prepared for more breakages really, I think the beamish Suzuki enjoyed its weekend.
Much appreciated , but not expected was the whip round u all sorted, made for a cheap weekend for me scooby and
Kenny.
Cheers all. (thumbs)

I still cannot believe how slippery that was, given the way those bikes went up it!
Re: ABC Trials Weekend
I think that Beamish is the perfect size for me - what do you think? If only it wasn't possessed of evil things and determined to keep throwing me off! Little fecker...cowling wrote:Last few
Thanks for all your work for the weekend Neil. Did you continue to look after Scooby and protect his wallet later on, or is he the new owner of a money pit???

Re: ABC Trials Weekend
If there's another I could possibly bring another bike if not working and not competing (was trialling Sunday)
6 bikes with the total value of them being less than a new GS I'd reckon, got to be the cheapest offroad fun ever!

Then:
Honda MB5, Honda MBX125, 350LC, RGV250, MTX125, GasGas JTX250, CM 644 DS, BMW R1100S, Beta Rev3 250, Beta Rev4T, Honda XL700V Transalp, BMW F800 GS, Kawasaki Super Sherpa
Now:
Montesa 4RT, Triumph Tiger 800, Beta Alp, Montesa 315
