good writeup (thumbs) how much was the "green card" per country? I was amazed when found out that in UK insurance companies do not include those countries in European cover list.

Great photos and a good report.

I think the Balkans are great, would be good if they had more campsites but accommodation cheap enough anyway.

Am a bit surprised about the Turkish border guards wanting bribes, I've been there twice and it hasn't been my experience, lots of form filling to import the bike but they seemed honest.

Serbia was amusing, at passport control they gave me a leaflet telling me not to bribe the police!

Going back this summer. Can't wait.

Great report - sounds like our paths probably crossed during the year, probably somewhere between Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. (thumbs)

I didn't do a lot of city visits, mainly touring.

+1 - This reflects my experience of the Turkish border, completely professional and no hint of a possibility of a bribe.

I've been going for some time now and got fed up with getting insurance at boarders. If your renewal is up before your trip make sure you use Ageas Insurance (your need to go through a broker I used Carole Nash) they will cover all Europe & Turkey for max 90 days only exception being Kosovo

Hope that helps
