Funnily enough, I do still have Alisha's number; the Kyrgyz girl we met at the border.DanielS wrote:

Thanks for this great report guys. Sorting my X-Country over the winter for a long Morocco trip next spring - which will be a prelude for a trip to the 'Stans as a retirement treat, whenever that is

Re: 3 weeks around Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan
It took a while to get our bikes back, but at 3am a few weeks ago I got a call "Hello, we're outside", so armed in my jim jams I went and helped the nice man unload our bikes from the trailer. I popped them in the garage and went back to bed. Paul's bike is keeping mine company for a while, but I've been told I am not allowed to wash it!
A few days later I took mine out to give it the once over. Apart from my clutch lever adjuster falling off, the front mudguard being damaged and a bent gear lever, the only other damage was a rear indicator which had vibrated itself to bits. The bike was proper manky!
However, after a few hours with some elbow grease, it was all back to shiny. I pressure washed the soft luggage too and it looks ok again too
Some ACF 50 later too and it's as good as new!
The front mudguard will be keeping the fix that Viktor the Russian did, and the rear indicator lense has since been replaced. The MOT has run out so I'll get it done but it shouldn't have any issues as I've checked it over and it's in great nick.
Back in the garage now until I get time to have it MOT, in the meantime though I have the blue bike to amuse me
Where to next then? Suggestions welcomed. TAT perhaps?
