An excellent day in Dorset

Post by Brenhden »

After getting lost a few day from my house and the several more times on the road igot used to reading the map and made some decent progress:

Spent 10 minutes chatting to a farmer while his sheep did the opposite of what he wanted:

Then it got pretty:

Then I got lost in a maze of forest where one legal route went in and 10 blocked routes came out. Had to do some serious off roading in here. The TKCs are pretty good after all.

I recognise the forest, yes there lots of tracks in there. How did you find the 650 on the trails?

Next up was this ace river crossing. I got a cheer from a group of ramblers when I crossed. I think they would have cheered louder if I fell in.

The coast path was brilliant to start with.

It got worse and worse and I could tell it was hurting the bike but riding solo I had to carry on.

Pebbles filled the locked the rear shock and we're getting stuck in the chain. By the time I was free the poor thing had a little oil leak :(

Screen is ok, I mounted the satnav up there which worked well. I won the 650 one off ebay so will be trying that when it comes.

Bike needs lowering pegs so I fit on it properly. Also the foot levers are too close to the pegs. I think the head bearing needs changing too as changing direction feels weird. Off road it's ok. Those wide wheels really help and the power gets you out of trouble. however the 350 is way better in every way apart from on the big roads.

I have my licence back while my appeal goes through.
