Small trip to the lake district

Well after 5 years her indoors decided she wanted to get back on a bike (pillion).
After our lad was born she decided it was sensible to not have both his parents on a bike incase the worst happened, but after 5 years she couldn't resist the urge again so off it was to buy her some kit and plan a small 3 day trip to the lakes.
We decided to stay at the Takoda campsite after hearing so many good things about the place from here and other forums and are we glad we did !
Fantastic campsite with great hosts Paul and Maria, great facilities and very clean we will be back very soon.
On the way up we pulled onto the A66 and after a few miles I knew I was knackered from the previous nights activities but not so much to start hallucinating
Yes its a fecking camel !! don't ask
The day after arriving we decided to check out Wynrose pass,Hardknott pass and Kirkstone pass, what a set of stunning roads and scenery who says you need to travel abroad to see decent scenery
Kirkstone
Some mad bird photo bombed me !!
Wynrose
We met "boatman" from abr at takoda and ive got to say what an absolute pleasure it was to have his company, the man has travelled some miles and me and the misses could have listened to him for days about his adventures, absolute gent and hope to met up again in the near future
Hardknott
On the last day we decided to chill by lake windermere and check out Brough Castle
all in all a cracking short break to see if the misses would enjoy being back on the bike and did she ever so its off to Germany end of sept !
