Well after 5 years her indoors decided she wanted to get back on a bike (pillion).
After our lad was born she decided it was sensible to not have both his parents on a bike incase the worst happened, but after 5 years she couldn't resist the urge again so off it was to buy her some kit and plan a small 3 day trip to the lakes.

We decided to stay at the Takoda campsite after hearing so many good things about the place from here and other forums and are we glad we did !

Fantastic campsite with great hosts Paul and Maria, great facilities and very clean we will be back very soon.

On the way up we pulled onto the A66 and after a few miles I knew I was knackered from the previous nights activities ;) but not so much to start hallucinating

Yes its a fecking camel !! don't ask

The day after arriving we decided to check out Wynrose pass,Hardknott pass and Kirkstone pass, what a set of stunning roads and scenery who says you need to travel abroad to see decent scenery

Great pictures and you're so right, who needs to travel abroad when we have so much to see here.
My missus has just started to get back on bikes after our sons death but she's beginning to get the bug back, all be it she will only go pillion on my mates bike (just in case of an accident) but the main thing is she's back.
Enjoy your next trip together.
Peter
