a Road tour on a Harley oh dear!
Re: a Road tour on a Harley oh dear!
Oh dear?
21K miles in 4 months, and from one coast to another on your own, that's a serious bit of riding. And if you are going to do it all on the highway at relatively slow speeds then why not go for the obvious US bike to blend in. No, all in all I applaud the guy. Harley's in the UK may be worthy of asmile, but not over there so much.
Not everyone owns a GS with knobblies .......if you ride two wheels of any sort you are OK in my book.

Harleys make the best road tourers, large lazy engines gobbling up the miles
A Road King makes a very good bike and capable of 100,000 miles, no problem

Wolf I was being ironic, and was waiting for the tirade of it's not an adventure because
1. it's a road trip
2. he's on a Harley, etc.
Good on the bloke wish I had the chance at the moment, and he's done it on a bike
