Salisbury Plain on a very damp Saturday.

Post by Tomsdad »

I had a little job to do in Wiltshire last Saturday so I thought I would take a little detour around some of the hardpac byways and a visit to Imber.
No many pic's as it was to wet to keep getting the camera out....still fun tho. (thumbs)
First stop...The Bratton Vedette..

and looking east, around the Imber range road..

The next photo was taken on the Westdown Artillery Range-

I then carried on across the Larkhill Range using the Permissive tracks as I needed to get to East Chisenbury, but came across this slight problem.

The pictures were taken here, looking east down the byway,or river as it was today.

Home by mid afternoon after stopping for a bit of lunch in one of the only dry area's I could find-

Yep,went with the flow.
I agree it's normally a wet lane with plenty of 6-8 inch deep puddles but with a nice gravel base. With the extra water it only went up to my footpegs.
Nice clean bike after though. (thumbs)

I went up on New years day and it had subsided a bit but there were not many bikes about. These were last year: ImageImage

Some good photos there, I enjoyed myself last time I was on the plain so I was wondering if any one was out on the plain this Saturday afternoon?

Hi I'm on BMW 1200GSA with K60s, I was out last year with an organised ride with tomsdad and it was a great day. So I as I will be passing the plain on Saturday about lunch time and I often read about other riders just nipping out on the plain. So I thought if any was going out I could tag along.
