Bakery off road ride out
Bakery off road ride out
Steve and his merry band of helpers organised a charity trail ride across Salisbury Plain this Sunday. Bacon butties at his bakery started the day off and set the general tone for the day. 3 groups of varying confidence/ability set off and much muddy fun was had by all. We stopped at a barn for lunch which was thoughtfully stocked with pasties, sausage rolls and soup. More mud in the afternoon then to The Bell in Weyhill to thank the landlord for letting us take over his car park for the day. Over £600 raised for young carers in Andover gave us all a warm glow although some of us were still a bit damp round the edges. A very civilised way to go trail riding I must say and thanks to all involved. Pics are of a comfort break in the live firing tank range which was thankfully closed on Sundays. Me at the end with the snorkle.
