Looks like a brilliant trip. Honda step-throughs can do everything, go anywhere. We've toured a fair bit in South of Thailand/Malaysia, but also in Laos, which was brilliant.
If you (or anyone else on here) are returning to Thailand (or any other SE Asia destination) I can recommend this site.

As well as a great forum, full of ride reports, they produce the best maps for bike touring and off road routes.

Wow, fantastic report, love the pictures. :)

You should put the bridge pictures on the 'Bridge To Far' threat. They are worthy of being there.

Thanks for sharing. :)

Hi new here ..from Ipswich Australia ...ride a 1000 V-Strom with bling !

Going toVietnam ,Cambodia, Thailand this November would appreciate tips and contacts for hire bikes there ..

Done China a few times (4) bike trips are fun ..but remember you legally have no Lic there and International Permit is not recognised.
Take cash to bribe Cops and crash participants ..never had to do either but was lucky to have married a Chinese for translation..

My thoughts exactly, would`nt fancy that bridge on a 1200gs ;)

I wouldn't want to do it on foot let alone on a light bike :(

Great pics :)
