Don’t forget your breathalyser too and a hi viz vest if you break down
We buy things we don't need

We broke down on a busy roundabout and even though we were there for less than 2 minutes glad we had our hi-viz.

Breathalysers are not required.

IIRC they stopped being a requirement when stroppy French citizens started demanding that the Police who had stopped them blow into the bag too!
A lot of the cops tested positive after lunch. Red faces (and vino) all round!

But you will get done if you don't wear gloves! You can wear crocs, shorts, you name it. But you must have gloves.
Not just any gloves, you have to be wearing CE spec gloves!

Whilst we were having a jolly good telling off by a couple of motorcycle Gendarmes, pre covid, for wearing the wrong type of gloves, oh how we laughed as a youngster on a moped zoomed past wearing shorts and flip flops. I guess they spotted his CE approved mx gloves. 🙄

Spare bulbs….the way I see it my bike hasn’t got any bulbs** being all LED, Ergo there’s no spares to be carried.

** that’s assuming the French does say bulbs or whatever rather than something generic like “means of illumination”.
