A long time ago in a Fat Freddy's Cat comic I remember the word "Transmogrification" being used to describe the 2 dimensional state that the Cat had been reduced to after being run over, funny I thought..mog...moggy cat Ha ha
I believed for years after that it was just a clever made up word, but apparently it is real and describes a change in form!!!

(OK so you all knew that)

I believe what you’re all experiencing is ‘sesquipedalian loquaciousness’.
I for one welcome it.

Do you mean utilising multiple surplus or unnecessarily lengthy denotations to connote meaning where a singular descriptive designation would suffice?
