I have been to Ecuador 3 times. Long time ago.
And met some back packers traveling SA.
I have a dream to do the on MC.

The dream and plan is still there. But I do not know id f it makes sense to hope anymore.
So may times in may life, I have had hard times. And when I have take in though them and started to think of an easier life. Some new disaster happens. So I start to loose hope.
Your plans do you credit - so please don´t lose sight of them, or lose heart as we work through the current difficulties. It may be that you have to put back your travel plans a little, but trust me, the trip will be worth the wait. S America is packed with amazing places, people and spectacular wilderness. Think of it as more time to prep, perhaps? I do hope it works out, and that in due course you can share your journey with us in some way.

Got to reorder my blood pressure tablets for next week. Our doctors has two surgeries and we are on the nearby satellite place.
I might say I will collect them from the main one which will at least give me an hour on the bike if I go the slightly odd route.
Otherwise all I’ve done is four laps of the garden on the Husky.

If you live in a rural area you could have a reasonable trip to the shops/supermarkets, you may have to visit a few to get all you want/need.

I'd love a full days ride through Glencoe mountain range, into Ballachulish, Appin, following on to Oban for lunch. Head to the Green Welly......then back to Stirling via Loch Lubnaig - Callander.

Great route that......I've ridden it often.

We are nicely rural but I am in a heightened rather than high risk group so not keen on meeting people (plus I’m a miserable sod). We have a handy small village shop but we have managed to get Tesco delivery slots every 10 to 14 days so been ok.
