I prefer Baxters myself as opposed to store branded shit.

Well, Daz …. as you appreciate, myself being a top influencer, both on here and on the international extreme porn hub, I cannot reveal my sources, as tins of Heinz Scotch Broth would be flying off the shelf, leading to an acute medical shortage worldwide.
But I can tell you that Iceland giant pack toilet rolls are a great comfort in my old age.

As far as Baxters are concerned, I would say that .. they are great for purging the system .. but you know this already and why would I want to take a dear pleasure from you :D

Home made chicken soup is reputed to be a very good and recommended medication for colds, and I find .. clear the system very well too (thank god for Iceland) .. but the Heinz chicken and veg soup is fine for a quick fix, but not before slinging a leg over the bike seat .. leave it for when you return from a cold wet bike ride, when a warm loo seat is more comforting. :)

The other thing I noticed is that, when I caught a mild cold (not as mild as Dave's, obviously) .. from a repair man entering my private areas .. of my home .. a brisk and prolonged walk up the stairs for an hour , got a good sweat on and hey .. the drippy nose sniffle waz gorn.

The other symptoms remained however, and I was very weak getting my leg over .. It was also hard to get on the bike too .. but at least the plastic doll did not complain 8-)

So .. to summarise .. Don't go mad at the supermarket shelves for Heinz Scotch Broth (oops :? ) .. keep your nose clean .. and yoo ass well wiped 8-) 8-) 8-)

I like Garyboys survival list.
Of all the things on the list the Cuban missile crisis was the closes shave, you see the Russians had sent a nuclear submare to guard the ships carrying the missiles, as we all would do.
The American gunboats detected the submarine and started depth charging it.
The Russian submarine captain wanted to launch the nuclear missiles, but as we all know Russian security is tight (James Bond) and needed his second in commannd to agree.
He would not agree, a very close thing.

No jaunts on a bike to Italy now

16m citizens in lockdown until April, 3 months in jail for breaking the rules

Bike travel may be tricky this summer, not just in EU ...but UK too, if whole areas are locked up

I didn't know that,
there have been a few films along those lines, so maybe they are based on that?
But I remember the Cuban missile crisis very well .. I looked up the date and it was in 1962, so I was a young teenager in school.
I was the only one looking up into the cold clear blue sky .. .. waiting , waiting .. for the dark missiles to appear .. and the end of the world.
Really.
When the Soviet union fell .. it was only then that we could see that the `evil` unknown Russians, were in fact, very much like us. And that its people wanted a nuclear war as much as we did? .. ie… not at all.

Gradually, over the decades, as crisis after crisis came and went .. I began to realise the truth.
That these crises were man made propaganda.
But not before spreading the nonsense to younger family members, and causing them grief.
(That is my biggest regret .. as some of them are now dead, and never got to realise the truth.)

Yes, of course all these things COULD happen .. that is why it is so effective … and one day, we all know, it WILL happen … but that may be millions of years into the future when the sun turns into a red giant.

So lets just enjoy what we got, and …

o shit .. I forgot to get some more bails of toilet roll ..

when I lived in a caravan, some of the gypos there had an argument, and there was a shooting, in which a lovely lady living opposite, got shot in the arm .. they were trying to kill her and her 3 lovely children, and the hubby.

I was lightly involved as it was so close.

But the media got hold of it and it appeared to be a very very dangerous area, that people feared and avoided.

But in reality, it was a very confined incident.

I expect many of you will have been in the vicinity of catastrophes, but realised that they are very space limited.... for instance, a stabbing a few streets away .. but you would never know until the news got out.

Same as the flu .. someone in the next street may not spread it to you !!
