It's a lovely place scenery wise but, there are many places which fall into that category in Europe that are far cheaper and have far nicer folk to talk to.

Just my experience of the place, though I have been about half a dozen times over the years. It's low on my radar these days though.

I would add to that the Austrians - drivers there have tried to knock me off my bike when filtering, yes it’s technically illegal but it doesn’t carry the death sentence.

With a good saving, the trip will be a great success. And kudos for considering your wife for the trip.
