London - Romania trip!

I have planned a solo trip, London - Romania at the beginning of September, I have 1 - 2 weeks free time. If anyone has any hints, tips and places to visit please let me know. Also if anyone wants to join, get in touch.

Amazing place! Carpathians, Black Sea, TransAlpina; forget Vlad's Castle in Bran ( looks better from the outside). The Merry Cemetary is worth a visit.

Yep, Carpathians, Sigisuara, Transfagarasan, Bucharest old town for beer and great food. Lovely country.
I heard Brasov is good too.

Linz in Austria is a great town for a stop. Later in the year they have a very good Christmas market.
Did Stutgart to Timisoara a few years ago but sadly on 4 wheels.

Assume your trip is 1 way? I did UK to Romania and back in 2 weeks which gave us a few days in Romania but it was a full agenda.

I loved it too - especially liked Buccovina (painted monasteries), if you are in Sibiu on Sunday the sung mass at the famous church (piped outside) was hauntingly beautiful (dont need to be religious to enjoy this) and great riding around the Trans Alpina (as well as the pass itself). Make sure you order the cream of garlic soup too!
