French 'Canicule' (heat-wave)

Post by daveuprite »

We are getting e-mailed canicule warnings from our Commune office to expect up to 44 degrees over the next few days. It's 35 here in Limousin right now, but rising each day.

North, Central and Southern France worst affected, but I think Spain too. Thanks god for 100 Euro swimming pools is all I can say - just filled ours up yesterday.

Not great for bike travel. Probably better to delay any trip until next week if possible. Bon Voyage...

Could do with some up here. Rain and dark skies so far this summer. Barely gets above 15 degrees.

Loft conversion in progress here - really not looking forward to tomorrow, especially after about 11h00.
