Hi anyone on the road at the minute in or around France ,Switzerland, Austria or Italy ? . Just wondering what the weather has been like? . I leave on the 21/06/19 for 10 days of riding . Last year we had amazing weather home and away hoping its not going to be like it is here at the minute .

I don't think the current weather will give you much guide to what you'll come across in 10 days time. Very changeable for the last fortnight. Had a big storm here a few days ago - crazy wind speeds - in early June!

If the jet-stream shifts and then sticks for a few weeks we could have a long heat-wave. But it's a right mix of low and high pressure areas, with atlantic frontal stuff most of the time right now.

Keep an eye on Meteo France, but not much point checking until at least next weekend I reckon.

I was in the south of France 2 weeks ago for 2 days.

Day 1) Lovely and sunny...stuck indoors

Day 2) Rain and winds...outdoors on the Goodyear test track.

Just got back last night after 10 days riding from Le Havre to Nice and back via the French Alps. 33C at the beginning riding across central France, mid to high 20s in the Alps and on the Med. Mid teens and bloody windy coming back. Two 10 minutes wet spells during the entire trip.
