Great achievement from the youngest rider ever to RTW solo. On a Ducati !!
I like the look of these Sleds. Everyone who rides one says they are good, but 55,000 miles around the globe is one hell of a testimonial.

Re: Around the World on a Ducati Desert Sled
And there's me just been lecturing everybody why the Ducati engine is not suitable for RTW trips Mainly because my Multistrada need the 18,000 mile "Desmo" service which is a minimum of £850 and that's going to hurt.
I wonder if he had the two "Desmo" services done
The Desert Sled has really caught my eye though.

The guy is really tough. I just imagine how it's difficult and what kind of will power he has.

Thank you Dave, I am really tempted by a Desert Sled. I love my KTM 990 but 37mpg ain't too friendly, and as I work in a Ducati race shop the servicing would be covered.

I love my Sled - its a real change from my 1190R but so much more fun.
It reminds of the old XT500 and DT175 I used to ride - basic, no modes or fancy stuff just fun.
