There’s always someone doing it tougher. In this case, a lot tougher.

The above photos....I obviously had the phone the wrong way around for the Selfie attempt.

Sarah got it wrong for the one of me.

But the third one....perfection is restored.

Good stuff.
I’ll be interested to know about the North Rim. Been to South a couple of times but always fancied the other side, if only out of bloodymindedness.

We love Utah. Although a tad ‘adventure touristy’ Moab is good with loads of great sights. Maybe hire a bike for a guided trail ride. We did a small 4x4 version but the trails look great.

Respect to the cyclists - they do look a tad homemade though.

We left the motel in Bluff at the last checkout minute, 11am, as to not go out in the rain.
The forecast was spot on and by the time we’d filled up with petrol the rain had gone.
Next stop, Mexican Hat. This is where the First and Second part of the thread title comes in.....I’ve been to that part of the world before, Sarah hadn’t, but a second look was still a Wow!
We had wanted to get closer to the Mexican Hat Rock formation but the dirt road looked as slick as snot on a chickens lip and as picking up a couple of loaded bikes didn’t appeal we stayed by the highway and looked from there. The photo is a bit dark as well.
Next Monument Valley. Another Wow! It’s all Wows! around there for me. The vastness, the colours.
Trundling along the straight roads at 55mph shouldn’t necessarily equate to a great motorcycling moment, but it was...both times I’ve ridden across their.

I know it may sound like I’m moaning again but we were back in to Tourist Central.
Page was a town that I hadn’t been to before, the Glen Canyon was a sight with the Dam and the visitor centre, but the boards of tourists.
The stress at breakfast filled the room as people refused to wait to be seated, pushing to get the food.....

Heading out of Page our first stop was just a few miles up the road. Horse Shoe bend. Another 5 bucks per bike to park and then a 15 minute walk to the view point.
Being stubborn I didn’t bother taking off my bike jacket and ended up fairly sweaty because of it.....
The views were amazing, the crowds still present, photos taken we wandered back to the bikes and cleared off....destination Grand Canyon North Rim.

Two happy people, two happy bikes.
