Bit of a long shot but everything is worth a try!
In 2016 on the way back from the IZI rally in Poland we stumbled upon a great campsite near Hollfeld, Germany after playing satnav bingo and closest campsite wins!
Trying to find it on Google and Google Maps isn't working and we didn't check in on Facebook or take any photos of the front of the site with the name
All I can say it was a camping and caravanning site with a smoking bar. The entrance has a wishing well and two long joined buildings are at the front after the entrance and gravel drive area. The left building is white with the showers and toilets, to the right is brown with the bar and outside drinking area. Next to it on the main road is a red liveried petrol station
We're back over for a trip to Auschwitz next month and I've told my mate about the crazy German who runs this place and he's desperate to visit
Any help gratefully received. Long shot I know but sometimes a million to one shot might just happen!
John (and Craig)

Have you tried Google earth and/or street view? Garmin city navigator will probably have it as a poi also ?
The secret of a long life is knowing when its time to go.

Tried everything we can think of. We only know we did the satnav bingo thing either in Hollfeld or outside a roadside cafe between Bayreuth to Hollfeldherman wrote:Have you tried Google earth and/or street view? Garmin city navigator will probably have it as a poi also ?
Without a name it's a bit needle in a haystack

I am sure street view is not an option in Germany.
Could this be the place
Gasthof Camping Waldmühle

Thanksjkay wrote:I'll be close to there next week on business I'll ask around to see if anybody knows it
I think one key thing is this "smoking" bar permission where customers can smoke inside

Hi John
Most bars in Germany allow smoking inside after 22.30
If the BAR is close to residential
Homes. I know of 6 different bars which do this.
