Okay... I like camping in solitude areas off beatten track in europe... Im sick of water bottles cracking when strapped on bike before evening camp spot is found.. I use a 3ltr camelbak during day... Just get food and water in evening and head for the hills or forests for the night so need water to make food and brew...

Like the idea of msr bags as rugged and can be strapped over thw seat or luggage bags and rolled up during day..

Folks thoughts please.. Or ideas..

I think the problem would be keeping it clean/bacteria free ? A new bottle of water is good to go but a bladder five days into a nice warm trip is going to be minging unless you carry a fridge. Seems daft to then add purification tabs to what was clean water although that can be needed with camelbacks to be fair. Equally a water filter seems a bit ott in Europe. My end of day water bottle just gets tucked under a bungie net on top of the tent and I cant remember one breaking to be honest

I use water purification tablets, Collect water from a clean running stream or fresh water lake as soon as you arrive... pop in a tablet
and 1 hr later have some germ free water.

I've used a dromedary bag on trips to Morocco and Tajikistan. Never had a problem with bacteria or bad water as suggested.

A couple of straps and you can tie it to the top bag, they are really robust. You can also attach a drinking tube, or a shower attachment too.

Great bits of kit

I have used Platypus 2 litre water containers for years they fit in your luggage easily and come with either a plain cap or click stop pouring spout available as an extra. When empty they roll up and take up next to no room.

Brilliant bit of kit had mine for years. Might as well get the 10L one as it folds up to the size of the filler and takes min room.
