Where did you go in 2018?

I guess folk are winding down their trips as the winter looms.
I went nowhere!
Well, I did two half days with an overnight stop in the Yorkshire Dales, but that's all.....and no off roading.
2018 was a barren year for me "Adventure biking" wise....I still clocked up about 7000 miles of motorcycling, whilst it's always a pleasure riding a bike, those miles weren't actually for pleasure.
So where did you go?

Did a lovely trip to Nordkapp via Calais. A few weekends as well. Not a bad year but still wish I could have done more.

Day trip to North Wales = 514 miles
2 Day (overnight) trip to Peak District = 446 miles
Day trip to central Wales (Cotswold Motorrad Rideout) = 428 miles
15 day trip to Florence via Grimsel and Nuefenen Passes on the way out and Route des Grand Alpes on the way back. We’re quite lucky with the weather too (only one downpour the whole trip) while riding =just shy of 2700 miles.

Been a good year I say.

Furthest I went was Fort William for 4 nights for Scottish pre65 trial, and 4 nights on way back in Melrose, 850 miles in total, I think I've still got the cb500x in the garage??

Despite the summer we had this year is possibly the least travelled I've been, a poultry 3500 miles, so in answer to the question, no place far.

I walked the Camino last year from St Jean Pied de Port, I didn’t have a foot like yours though!!

This year we walked part of the Portuguese Camino, from Porto to Santiago.
Currently riding around OZ.

How’s South America going? Photos and a ride report would be good....

Had a few separate weekends and a week in Wales.
Summer I had 3 weeks off =
Netherlands > Belgium > Germany > France > Austria > Italy > San Marino > Slovenia > Croatia > Bosnia > Hungary > Slovakia > Czechia > Poland .
Back home via Germany, Netherlands & Belgium.

4042 miles. Loved every minute of it.
