Yeah I know Russ, the new Vw "Exxon Valdez" consumes fuel and oil at an outrageous amount, big difference to running my old master.....which by the way my son has collared...

What van you got Russ? I sold my VW t4 in January after 50k miles on veg oil.

With my Ford Ranger I used to get Veg oil from macro at about £10 for 40lt and mix it with a 3/4 tank of diesel.
No loss in power a bit smokier especially on heavy acceleration, change the filters more often. Only thing was the smell, definitely different.
Know people that have used the the oil directly from a chippy and just filtered that before putting it in their vans, then it is just like following a mobile fish and chip shop.
