There is also a church that's never locked up near ills water were people go to write there names into a visitors book it's on the same side as Pooley bridge and around the lake as far as it goes and as you hit the twistes going up the hill the church is on the left . Don't forget to write your name date etc if you go ... people been doi g it for years

Coach road is just up from the side of Ullswater, nice long easy trail with just a hardish part at the Keswick end, usually plenty of walkers and cyclists going along it though so take care.

As Teflon says the Hardknott pass is a must and as said leave a good distance between riders,its a bit of a challenge in places.hope the weather is good for you its not called the lake district for nothing. :lol:

Interestingly, there's only one lake in the Lake District, Bassenthwaite Lake, all the other bodies of water are 'meres' or 'water'.

coach road is good should be fairly easy goung from ullwater down towards st john s it t varies due to erosion at the bottom end faboulouse track thiough

askham beach is good for a hour or two great place to have you dinner and a brew not far from the end of the hardknott pass
dont know how to make it show proper but enter the beach on hawthwaite lane /exit beach on steel street or ride it in reverse

I wouldn't go out of your way to do the Kielder track,it's really nothing special in my opinion,done it a few times but if your up visiting Kielder anyway,which is nice by the way then fair enough go for it.If your passing DH8 area or the A68 i could show you a nice run through Slayley Forest if im not busy with other family duties etc.
