Looks like a good tour and reasonably priced. Possibly a new tour company (c 2016 on bottom of web page) so might be idea to give them a call/email for client testimonials, check insurances etc. Also check for client feedback on their Facebook page?

Could also try sticking a post on the local SA Adventure bike forum http://www.wilddog.za.net/forum

Cheers (and look forward to ride report......)

Scratch the itch spud!

I have a twin bro living in Cape Town so get out often. Doing a diy 6 day SA bike tour in Dec on my xt660z.

Did a bigger Africa trip last year, details here if of interest: https://temporaryescapee.wordpress.com/

Pretty much the best thing i've ever done. Do it, it is made for biking :-)

South Africa is a great riding country and you'll see some great places on that trip.

That price seems very reasonable too. Go for it.

Given you will be spending a fair amount on airfares to get out there you probably want to spend 2 or 3 weeks to do the country justice. Maybe combine a guided tour with some solo riding? The road infrastructure is generally good and it's easy to jump off tar on to gravel roads and passes.

Hopefully these links will give you some ideas

I did a trip from Cape Town into the Cederberg with these guys in January with my wife on the pillion. It was absolutely fantastic ... the country is amazing I really can't recommend these guys highly enough. We plan to go back with them and do the whole Garden Route or head North into Namibia or Botswana.
