Nepal

Post by gbags »

Off to Nepal tomorrow for hiking and biking.

Does anyone know any cool guesthouses in Thamel or Durban Square?

I want a traveller's place, not some sterile hotel, and haven't been for years so I'm out of date.

Something a bit small, leafy, roof garden for beers maybe?

Thanks

Stay in the Thamel area,i always use Hotel Elite but do know the owner and all his family so get free board, and the area very well.
There is loads to choose from,at the airport you will be mobbed by people who want your buisness, they will even take you there which is a good way to get to Thamel, have a look at the hotel but reject it,unless you like it,
Hoo and by the way,the chinese are taking the place over slowly..

Hi John,

We really enjoyed meeting you two last week, had a great evening on the ferry.

You're mechanical; what do you make of this? It's sold for 800 GS's?
