So why did Scotland change the DD law 2 years ago and England, Wales and NI have kept it the same??moto al wrote:Scotland has a completely different legal system that of England ,Scotlands is based on Roman law, England's is based on Norman law . Ps please don't start using fact as a political football. Cheers .Al (thumbs)
Is it? I think they may be busy for a while and they have a history of not revisiting recently rejected changes.moto al wrote:South of the border ,is in discussion to implement ,the same law .
I'd have to agree with that. You could be under the limit in England but over in Scotland then you get banned from driving in England!johnnyboxer wrote:Stupid having 2 different DD laws in one united country, don't you think???Oop North John wrote:When in Rome (thumbs)johnnyboxer wrote:Stupid law
You could have a meal in Longtown (England), have 2 normal beers and be under the English alcohol limit, having been stopped by a Cumbria Police car & take a breath test, pass it and then continue to drive 3 miles over the border, towards Langholm on the A7 and be stopped by a Police Scotland car, then fail the breath test in Scotland
Madness, utter folly and madness
Good point! OK having separate laws but not affecting UK licence!sprintster wrote:I'd have to agree with that. You could be under the limit in England but over in Scotland then you get banned from driving in England!johnnyboxer wrote:Stupid having 2 different DD laws in one united country, don't you think???Oop North John wrote:When in Rome (thumbs)johnnyboxer wrote:Stupid law
