Elefant advice required

Post by Bigdavesmate »

Me and a couple of other chaps from this parish are heading to the Elefant ( the one in Bavaria) in a week or so.
Any advice would be most welcome on on the practicalities ie: is there a beer tent, how far is the closest shop etc, or anything else you might consider worth sharing?

There are atleast four bars that sell Beer at the Elefantentreffen, but I would take some beers with you anyway, they also sell tea and coffee plus food. There is a McDonald's and Lidls at Regen but not alot else close. Purchase atleast two straw bales for your tent and seating area. The Elefant Rally in Thurmansbang-Solla is amazing! You will have a great time

Buy straw and firewood straight after getting a pitch.
Put plenty of straw under your tent.
Take water and head ache tablets.
Leave your bikes up on the road unless you are riding gods or have plenty of time.
It it snows then get drunk.
If it rains then get even more drunk.

Amsbury when do you arrive at the elefant? We hope to be there Friday afternoon. Be good if we can get a update from you if you are getting there before us.
