Still running well on 5000kms oil/filter changes..... 10W50 for a less clunky gear change..... 100% fully synthetic supermarket oil at €7.79 for two litres.

Not bad for one cylinder doing all the work.

:D

Nice going, you're certainly getting your money's worth out of it. Is that the Super U oil you're using ? I've been using the same for the last 3 years

Yip ....the very same....it goes into my diesel and petrol vehicles also. Every food shop I do I lift two containers of it....pour it into 20 litre containers to build up stock at home. At that price everything gets 5k oil changes!! :D

As stated before I carry a front tube across my handlebar.....I stash it in a cut off tube as it will crackle in the UV and heat here.

In the camping kit post I'd long since forgotten to mention a small roll of cord which is used as a clothes line. You buu this in Decathlon in the climbing section and is handy for all sorts of other stuff too. For clothes it doesn't have to be a large diameter. It stays in my cooking pots.

Hi Russ

The tool kit I used on the XT was cobbled together mostly from this thread on xt660.com.

For starters have a look at the wheel spindles. I use a car sump plug socket to sort that oddity. 8-)
