No problem..... Maybe a couple of different routes next year, retracing older ones I've ridden, resulting in more off roading.

I might even organise a couple of free Spanish off road ride outs over next summer in the Aragon and Navarre regions.

Been in the Pyrenees trail riding this week ...



... but I've managed to put my back out picking the f*cker up

If it isn't better by the 18th I might have to be Mr Slow at the back on my CRF250 :-/

How did you get on with the course Dave?

You'll be fine on the Africa Twin, even with a dodgy back! You won't be picking the bike up on your own anyway if you drop it...much better when there are 2 or 3 to help pick the bike up. In the heat, picking the bike up on your own 2 or 3 times can zap all your energy so generally we wait for one of the other riders to come along or come back and help. Stops anyone getting unnecessarily knackered!

It was very good but I only managed two days riding before my back started playing up and then to top it off in the dark I fell down a 30 ft drop at the end of the garden where we were staying whilst chucking left-over BBQ salad into the bushes!



My back is proper fecked - a prolapsed disc I reckon - so I'm going to try to get to a chiropractor after work in London one evening if my work schedule allows - I've got paying punters on training courses every day till the 18th. I'll see how it goes. At the moment I can't even push the AT around and I fear a topple on the track in Maroc will do me in. If my back is dodgy I'll probably have more fun on the 250, but it'll be slow :-/

Sorry to hear of your misfortune Dave....sheeesh...I hope you can get it all back into place. An X ray should help see what's going on in there?

Back is feeling a bit better. I'm opting to bring my new 250 though ... a lot easier to handle than the Africa Twin.
