Oh gawd thats done it now
I love that one. My kids were happily boasting after that horsemeat scandal that they never had and never would eat horsemeat. I told them they should have paid attention at French class in school.....that they regularly had it when we were camping in France and they happily cut into tiny pieces to make the Spaghetti Bolognese they insisted on having. Told them too the 'chicken' stir fry we sometimes had was made with pigeon breast meat.

As for my nicest meal, this year it was at Hook Head lighthouse.

Ha ha very good a more positive note

Better but perhaps not as funny as stories about other people having food poisoning

This year I think a goulash in Slovenia was just outstanding and just about everything we ate in Croatia was brilliant oh God the smokehouse pork by the marina was pretty special to and for the same price as 4 beers back home

Happy days

Would have to be the 'Cevapi' in Slovenia, my mouth is watering just thinking of it now (thumbs)

But as a "deep pockets, short arms" Scotsman I did enjoy my garlic bread, chicken, chips, drink and dessert in Ukraine for £1.80.

My kinda place......

No abroad for us this year so......camp stove (fresh from the beach on the beach) creamy fish stew with samphire on the suffolk coast, crusty bread, and Adnams ale.

Its got to be a sausage fest in a traditional German restaurant in Baden Baden this year.
Me and a mate were looking for Currywurst und pommes but ended up with a plate half the size of the table with every type of sausage/bratwurst and sauerkraut going.
I can honestly say it was probably the best meal I've ever had anywhere, ever.

Relived that memory this year but couldn't find Herfoder beer or Apfel for the full trip down memory lane :(
