Recommended Hotel in Ypres Please

Post by Mosel Bikes »

I've got Sid from on here + his two mates staying with me until Thursday. They're visiting Diekirch National Military Museum in Luxembourg tomorrow and Bastogne on Wednesday,as part of routes I've suggested. before heading back toward the tunnel for their crossing at the weekend.
They plan to stay in Ypres on Thursday, a place I don't know, and have asked if I'll post up here as I know a lot of folk have stayed in Ypres. They're after a hotel there, central if possible, and secure parking would be a bonus.
Can anyone recommend a place and I or they can contact for a reservation.
Many thanks, Mike

I've stayed at "Old Tom" a few times. It's on the main square, basic and cheap(ish) often busy.
Great location.

Try this place but it'll probably be fully booked. It's got access to a locked garage over the road so parking isn't a problem and it's on the same road as the Menin Gate and about 250 yards from it but on the opposite side to the town centre.

We stopped there with another couple earlier this year and it was excellent.

Sorry about the long link.

We stayed at the Alliance close to the town centre and the Menin gate. Very pricey for what it was.

Ypres is a lovely place though and highly recommended. Look forward to going back.

There are lovely wooden camping chalets on site , beds, pillows and bedding included plus a small cooker hob as well; cookware can even be rented. Nice upmarket sheds, cozy and warm and much much cheaper than hotels for those who hate camping. About a ten minute walk to the Menin Gate and the main square (thumbs)
