I would really like to see that. A Roastbeef jumping the queue of French drivers with the fuel shortage. Even better if there is little understanding of language. If would be like Mr Bean's holiday on steroids.

The euro football thingy is on the way so the French gov will cave in soon..as they always do.

This will be over in a week or so.

I hope it gets sorted as we're over there in 2 weeks time and going from Calais to Carcassonne in 2 days.
I think they have more than we do, you just have to know where to look. :silly:
Yes, I checked and they got more 12,000 and we've got 8,000. I guess it feels as if there aren't as many because France is 3 times bigger than the UK. Therefore proportionately it should have 24,000 petrol stations :silly:

I'll get my coat...
Yes, you do need to know where to look. It's not like the UK where you can get your fuel light come on, carry along the same road, and come across a petrol station within 30 miles.

I do think the French are heading for their own version of the miners strike. The government really do want to break the unions and that's what it took over here to do it.

But that said something has got to change in France...the economy is still deep in the crap..it's really not good at all.

My brother says there is no fuel issue south of Toulouse at the mo.

Repeated this post to my wife this morning, she laughed and said "do you want another French revolution?". French people believe in Unions and socialism so deeply that they see it as a basic human right, and my wife thinks so long as it's a democratic country the Unions will never break. If it wasn't a democratic country and somebody tried to enforce capitalism, there would be another French revolution.

Things are escalating now, RAC advising people not to travel to France and Brittany Ferries cancelling sailings to Le Havre
