Yes, you do need to know where to look. It's not like the UK where you can get your fuel light come on, carry along the same road, and come across a petrol station within 30 miles.Scott_rider wrote:Yes, I checked and they got more 12,000 and we've got 8,000. I guess it feels as if there aren't as many because France is 3 times bigger than the UK. Therefore proportionately it should have 24,000 petrol stations :silly:Milo Tighfield wrote:I think they have more than we do, you just have to know where to look. :silly:Scott_rider wrote:In my experience, finding fuel stations in France can be difficult at the best of times. They just don't seem to have as many of them as we do  .
I hope it gets sorted as we're over there in 2 weeks time and going from Calais to Carcassonne in 2 days.
I'll get my coat...
Repeated this post to my wife this morning, she laughed and said "do you want another French revolution?". French people believe in Unions and socialism so deeply that they see it as a basic human right, and my wife thinks so long as it's a democratic country the Unions will never break. If it wasn't a democratic country and somebody tried to enforce capitalism, there would be another French revolution.Mike101 wrote:Seems like the dockers are on strike this week as well..lots of ferries cancelled on Thursday this week.
I do think the French are heading for their own version of the miners strike. The government really do want to break the unions and that's what it took over here to do it.
But that said something has got to change in France...the economy is still deep in the crap..it's really not good at all.
My brother says there is no fuel issue south of Toulouse at the mo.
