garmin numpty

Post by kito »

Right im a complete numpty with gps i have a garmin Montana for doing the lanes it came with a gb discovery sd card so nice and easy but now I want to go trail riding in Europe. I think I need a topo map but if I buy all the countrys separate from Garmin it will start getting expensive. Are the any free and easy to use maps ?
Thanks kito

Asuming the map(s) you want are available, as I think you'll want several.
You could illegally download various Garmin maps from torrent sites via a VPN and load them onto an SD card.
You could also buy the relevant map from Garmin, either as a download or SD card. But as you state that could be expensive. Openstreet maps are also an option.

Having a topo map dosent show the trails like the uk byeways etc...and they definately dont show right of access...they are only good for tracks as non routable like citynavigator..

Ive got and use france, spain, potugal ...have fun wherever you ride in europe...
