Hi all, as mentioned in another thread ( didn't want to Hi-jack the thread  ) I'm thinking of heading over to the Eifel region in Germany for a few days in July, so any heads up about places to stay and things to do, would be much appreciated.
I'm going over on a CBR1100xx as I have a few weeks off, and heading to Bike Normandy for a short break on the way back (thumbs)
Eifel region in Germany.

Anywhere on the Mosel between Koblenz and Trie. Great roads, great food and drink, and plenty of places to stop.
Cheers Dave.

Can recommend the Hotel Zur Post in Klotten, right on the Mosel - dedicated bike parking andthe owner, Klaus, is a local foodie writer and cooks fantastic local dishes.coyotedave wrote:Anywhere on the Mosel between Koblenz and Trie. Great roads, great food and drink, and plenty of places to stop.

If you go near Cochem it's a nice place to visit & the Hotel am Hafen is a great place to stay with parking at the rear.
***just like Britney Spears oops I did it again……sold the Scrambler & as of now there may not be a replacement***

It was a NATO military training camp when I was there, but fascinating to see how Hitler had built these giant Greek 'esque' like statues of German Sporting and National Hero's to inspire the Youth, that had been defaced ( decapitated and the bollocks shot off) by the Yanks !!!
