We have given up on the Lakshadweep islands. As non Indians we could only fly in and were limited to three islands. The accommodation was very expensive for what it was and the combination of the flight and the boat schedule between the islands meant we needed either 3 or 6 nights at around £130 a night and 3 nights seemed barely worth it. Finally they wanted all the money up front in cash. And this at the official govt agency. No way even if I had the cash or a way of getting hold of 80,000rupees at once. Anyway the Tripadvisor reviews are rather poor.
