This stuff works... on virtually all biting insects - and you can spray it on your tent doors.. unlike DEET

Deet is the only thing that works in my opinion. Had massive mossies in Alaska last year and deet was the only thing that worked.

Avon skin so soft works for some people but not for me. I've also heard that eating lots of marmite a week before you go helps as well......good job I like the stuff:laugh:

Neat Deet definitely works for me. Without it I am virtually eaten alive. Though I am liking the sound of the Famous Grouse deterrant and think I might have to give that a go (oh to say "purely medicinal" and actually get away with it!)
Interestingly, Avon Skin So Soft works well as an insect repellant on horses (the fleshy kind that is, not our steel steeds).

Well, I found the Famous Grouse deterrant 50/50 and the skin so soft didn't work at all! But I'd rather continue trying the Grouse and forget about smelling like a big Jessie!

I've heard good reports about skin so soft too. Not tried it though.

The Famous Grouse method isn't so much a deterrent more down to you don't give a hoot after necking a bottle. Miggies, bring em on, hic! It's worth trying this method a few times until you perfect it.

Skin So Soft is great as long as you don't mind the buggers landing on, and tickling you! The oily slick stops'em grabbing hold of & taking a chunk out of you! They then simply die on you:huh: Whether they drown or get gassed to death - Who cares?

Hi All, I'm new to the site...not the right way to introduce myself I know but...My name is Dave and I'm an Avon Skin So Soft User. There, got it off my chest.

But seriously it does work for me and I normally suffer really badly.
