Did the east side last year in mist and fog. Saw nowt, got no photos :pinch:
Don't they say it rains in JOG 300 days a year  you've got to be real luck to get photos like the ones above (thumbs)

Did about 3/4 of that (not the North East top bit) back in April on the NC700 and enjoyed absolutely perfect clear blue skies to boot. Great roads, hardly anyone on them and stunning scenery - hotels weren't bad either (thumbs)

Glen Etive where Skyfall was filmed and then up to the Commando Memorial at Speen Bridge , over the Pass of the Cattle and camped on the beach at Applecross and it didn't rain at all!
Amazing ride over to Ullapool for the ferry to Stornoway and down through the Western Isles. . Isle of Arran was amazing and well worth going to even though there are only two roads (and one of those is a ring road!). I only went there via Oban and down the Mull of Kintyre to avoid Glasgow and the motorway.

No midges and the heavens didn't open until south of Gretna :(

I did the northern half of the route on my KTM 690 Enduro when I was travelling from Orkney to the Outer Hebrides and it was the best day of on-tarmac riding I've ever had.

They missed off a lovely loop at Tabert and Fanagmore. Also strayed away from the coast further south.

I'm hoping to go up again wild camping in a couple of weeks if the weather stays decent.

I've not ridden it but have driven most of it when I've been up there for work.

As well as going round the coast there's some fabulous roads criss crossing the Highlands as well (thumbs)

Done the west and north west section a few times but not bothered with the north east section.
Bit disappointed at this being publicised, roads'll be crowded now with dozens of people :P
