Cross any border then pull into petrol station.

Keep saying Vignette with various accents and a question mark sounding ending.

If you need one they'll sell you one, if you don't need one they'll wave the universal 'no' finger at you.

Sorted! :silly:
That's OK until you come across a petrol station owner of dubious integrity. I don't think your Welsh vignette is valid, you know the one that looks like a Newcastle Brown label. :-)

I must have been lucky over the years, never actually met one of them. Usually they want to give you coffee and talk to you B)

Things may have changed however I was in Bulgaria, 9 months ago, and no vignette were issued to motorcycles. I asked at several service stations...

Yeah, I was there recently for about two months and never had one. But then again, I never ever saw the police :)

We were in both Romania and Bulgaria last year.
We stopped and tried to buy one at the Romanian border coming from Hungary, and were told that motorcycles were exempt.

Didn't know that Bulgaria had the scheme so didn't stop to ask but wasn't asked to buy one on entry or questioned when leaving in to Greece.

I hope this helps, but stop and ask when you get there to avoid getting in to trouble would be my advice.

Have a great trip....

I picked this info up from another thread about vignettes a few months ago.

[ul]
[li]Some useful (bike specific) information on Vignettes here http://www.rotherhamadvancedmotorcyclis ... and-tolls/[/li]
[li]More info (not bike specific, but does include Baltic information) here http://www.tolltickets.com/country/euro ... lang=en-GB[/li]
[/ul]

From the Rotherham link it looks like you pay in Bulgaria (weekly, monthly, annual options), but in Romania bikes are exempt.
