Shit weather.

Buggie bitie things will eat you alive and leave you looking like bubble wrap.

Did I mention the weather?

Packed roads everywhere.

And the weather is #hit.........

Think a bit of perspective is needed on the midgees.

If you are riding up the NW of Scotland and staying in a b&b/hotel then midgees are no issue whatsoever in my experience, if however you are camping and near woods/bracken etc then yes, they can be a nightmare, so don't let all this talk of midgees put you off coming in the Summer months.

I'm pretty sure I've camped on that beach, or one very close, with my old man and two kayaks. Beautiful clear water but bloody freezing
