Anything from a manufacturer with a good dealer network along my route.
I can't think of one bike that I wouldn't feel the need to modify even slightly before setting off but once a bit of messing with had taken place there are plenty that I'd go on.
What bike would you choose too take overland round the world ??..

A VV or a C90 would be on my list too. It's only when you get out of Europe and into Asia, packing the bike onto aircraft cargo crates etc. that you realise the advantage. Of course, if money is no object then take whatever you want. You can always have a replacement bike dropped in by helicopter (thumbs) .GSnut wrote:I reckon a VanVan would do it..... albeit slowly.... now if it was a 250 instead of a 125 that'd be even better
Many travel insurance policies cover you riding up to 125cc too - something else to think about.
But, for the journeys I have time to do at this stage in my life (max 2 weeks), the big beastie will have to suffice

I love all this RTW talk, as no fecker does it
Probably there are less than 20 people on this forum, who have ridden a bike and actually travelled outside Europe on it
Lot of armchair Adventure dreamers on this forum

Suzuki DR350 or DR650. If not then a Chinese 250, I'm guessing that they are everywhere in the world now so spare wouldn't be a problem.
I look forward to having the time to make this real

And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.
