I'm flying up in 8 weeks time. Can't wait, shipping the bike up the week before. Just holler if you need anything.
Great blog Daniel.

Is late July August the best time to go? I am thinking of a trip next year, Is there an option anyone is aware of to ship the bike there and fly,as time could be an issue.
Cheers

Great blog Daniel.
what,s the cost to ship your bike?
and your air fair??
it would save a fair bit of time doing it this way , and as i have limited holidays it might be the best option.

Did Iceland a couple of years ago. Rode my bike there via Denmark and the two day ferry.
Its one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.
Great riding amazing views.
You certainly wont be disappointed

Eyup John cost of bike shipping is £725 plus a 1% insurance surplus charge. The price fluctuates with the currency rate, so could change again before we hand over our hard earned. Ball park is going to be around £800 and that is return and paperwork included.devon john wrote:DG wrote:I'm flying up in 8 weeks time. Can't wait, shipping the bike up the week before. Flights from Manchester were £210 for me and the missus. We may pay an extra £38 and take our pannier inner bags in a suitcase. Undecided at the mo.
I'll be able to tell you more once we've been. I. Got all the shipping documents today and its finally sinking in that we're actually going!!
Can't fekkin wait!
